Focused on sustainability, a new way of living and thinking, #ForEarth was aligned with the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP’s) 17 Global Sustainability Objectives. Our three-point agenda aimed to:

  • Build a community creating awareness around critical environmental problems and threats
  • Highlight unique perspectives around sustainability
  • Create a movement towards a more socially responsible world as a collective community devoid of singular agendas

The key focus areas for our activities were air pollution, waste management and reduced usage of plastic. These initiatives were executed at individual, group, community and partner levels, serving as our goal-oriented call to action. Additionally, we agreed to work on an e-learning module in collaboration with Swechha to spread awareness through a learn-and-test method, focusing on simple behavioral changes for a greener environment.

The festival drew an audience of more than 5000 guests and began with meaningful workshops on sustainability, showcasing innovative work by sustainable start-ups. Conversations engaging the corporate sector and youth activists were interspersed with special messages from young environmentalist Vimlendu Jha and founder of the ILiveSimply movement Sonam Wangchuk. The day concluded with beautiful music under the stars featuring performances by Taba Chake, Lifafa, and Midival Punditz, curated by Red Bull.
